About Us
David Matthews, LCSW, BCD, is the owner and primary therapist of Matthews and Associates. He has maintained an established private practice since 1985. He provides clinical supervision and services as a Child and Family Therapist.
Lisa Thomas, LCPC, is the Clinical Coordinator and a Child and Family Therapist at Matthews and Associates. She has been providing counseling services to the clientele of Matthews and Associates since 1996.
Julie Fritzler, LCSW, is the Adoption Preservation Supervisor for Matthews and Associates and has been with the company since 1998. Julie started as a MSW intern and upon graduation from Southern Illinois University in 1999 with her Master of Social Work degree, became a full time Adoption Preservation Therapist. She has been supervising the program since 2001. Originally from the State of Oregon, Julie received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Warner Pacific College in 1995. Julie was a contributing author to the Guided Curriculum: Best Practice in Adoption & Guardianship Preservation, and currently services on the Board of Directors for The Women’s Center located in southern Illinois. Julie resides in Carbondale, IL with her husband, Joel, and cat, Henry.
Melinda Squires, MSW, is an Adoption Preservation Therapist at Matthews and Associates. She has been providing in-home based therapy to families in Adoption Preservation services since 2005.
Bethany Mann, BA, is the Respite Coordinator at Matthews and Associates. She has been providing respite to clients at Matthews and Associates since August 2007. She provides in-home and out-of-home respite services; as well as group respite outings.
