Support Groups
The Adoption Preservation Support Groups are designed to provide support, connection, and socialization for adoptive families. The support groups are open to families who are currently being served in our program, families who are on our waiting list, families that have previously been in the program, and adoptive familes in the community. They are located in Herrin, Mt. Vernon, and Olney. Please call (618)988-1330 ext. 103 with any questions or to RSVP to one of the groups.
Mt. Vernon
This group meets the third Thursday of each month, from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm and an RSVP is mandatory. The Mt. Vernon location is the Department of Children and Family Services office.
Herrin
This group is scheduled for the fourth Tuesday of each month and meets from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Herrin location is our office and an RSVP is mandatory.
Olney Area
This group meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Department of Children and Family Services office in Olney, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and an RSVP is mandatory.
