Adoption Preservation
The Adoption and Subsidized Guardianship Preservation Program provides community-based counseling and support group services to families who need assistance in understanding and resolving the special dynamics of the adoptive family. This program is available to any family with a child under 18 years of age who became a family member through adoption or subsidized guardianship.
These services are provided by professionals who understand the dynamics of families formed through adoption or subsidized guardianship. The services are provided in the client’s home, with evening appointments available. Funding is provided with a grant from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. There is no out-of-pocket cost to families who participate in the program.

*24-hour crisis counseling via the after-hours pager
*In-home consultations and individual / family counseling
*Support groups for parents, children, and teenagers
*Resource library for families and professionals
*Assistance in locating child care, medical, education, and psychological services
